Coil Caveats

Robert Platteter posted at the EFF forum:

I have been using SBB coils in TB's for some time and have discovered that when you place a SBB coil in a TB, you need to consider something that I call "DOR Leakage".

DOR leakage is the residual DOR that doesn't get transmutted to POR. IT seems to be more of a geometry thing as opposed to the amount of orgonite present.

Adding the SBB coil significantly boosts DOR transmutability of the TB since the DOR is drawn more efficiently to the TB because of the coil. So now, by adding the coil you have significantly increased the rate by which that TB will transmute DOR. A side effect is this DOR Leakage which will cause a lingering DOR field around the TB even though it is pumping POR out like mad.

Initially I thought this lingering DOR leakage was because I did not have enough ogonite present...thinking that I was over saturating the orgonite in the TB with too high a rate of DOR, but adding more orgonite did not necessarily eliminate the DOR leakage. Being persistent, I later found that if I placed two SBB coils a certain distance apart with the orgonite in between, that I could get zero DOR leakage. Those two coils had to be oriented in the same direction but phased 90 degrees from each other as you looked down the TB. The spacing, or gap, between the two coils depends upon the length of the wire used to make the coils. But once you get it right you have one powerful TB with no lingering DOR around it.

I dowse to get the proper gap between the two coils. I ask to give me the length that will give no DOR leakage.

I guess the message I'm trying to communicate is that you need to be careful when adding coils to TB as a means to boost their effectiveness and power. (snip)
When you coil a TB you are actively drawing DOR to it..sort of like a tornado. Easy to locate the TB if you can see the DOR funnel. ...

I presume he's talking about flat coils. I do not know if this DOR leakage phenomenon applies equally to cat coils, especially if these are lined with foil and filled with charged water gel, as I usually prefer to do with TBs. I am not able to discern this. I always was of the impression that the cat coils, at least, did a good job of cleaning the energy.

But I do have a promising alternative to coils in TBs:

Jaimyec posted about pouring qtz powder on top of a TB that has wet resin on top, such that the quartz submerges without stirring. Said it makes for better energy, and more out the top.

I tried this with my beach sand from artmama, and it does work well, even with no coil. I suggest making quick-cheap-easy TBs or ice-cubes with just metal and a small crystal, maybe some nice powders mixed into the resin, but not the sand, or not all the sand, then pour a good bit of sand on top. The sand should kind of stick out.

I can offer you my view of it: Copper coils add a great deal to the "punch" of any orgonite device, all things I gift have one, but not those things that are near to me on a daily basis, like bedroom HHG (you will have trouble sleeping) or pendant, because its too energetic to be around people. Especially on pendants, I discovered wearing a pendant with one would give me arrythmia, probably too much energy on the heart area. Copper is a highly YANG energy metal. You could always try to balance it with a YIN energy metal, like silver, check my files for the Yin-Yang coil.
His coil uses both copper and silver.

Indeed, I have been having trouble sleeping since I increased the amount of energized copper coils in my cabin. So I reduced it from wildly insane levels down to moderately wigged-out levels. Sleeping better now, but I'm not sure how much that is due to less copper vibe, and how much it's due to less orgone in general.
In any case, what I still have left going on in the cabin is way more than most people will have.
